Community Funding Area Program Management Plan Draft - Public Comment

The Capital Area Metropolitan Organization (CAMPO) is inviting public comments on a draft program management plan for the Wake Transit Community Funding Area Program through November 10, 2018.

The Community Funding Area Program provides an opportunity for municipalities (other than Cary and Raleigh) and the Research Triangle Park in Wake County, that would otherwise have limited fixed-route transit services, to launch or support community-based or inter-community public transportation services and programs. The draft Community Funding Area Program Management Plan lays out the eligibility, funding, application, prioritization and award, and program management and oversight details and processes for the ongoing administration of the program. The draft Community Funding Area Program Management Plan was recommended on October 10, 2018, by the Wake County Transit Planning Advisory Committee (TPAC) to the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) Executive Board and the GoTriangle Board of Trustees for consideration of approval at their November 14th and November 28th regular meetings, respectively.

Public comments will be accepted on the draft through November 10, 2018. Public comments may be sent via email to Public comments may also be provided by phone by calling Matthew Cushing, Wake Transit Planner, at (919) 996-4177.
