US 1 Corridor Study
The US 1 Council of Planning was created to monitor implementation of recommendations made in the US 1 Corridor Study. The Council is comprised of staff representatives from Wake County, Franklin County, NCDOT, Capital Area Transit, City of Raleigh, Town of Wake Forest, Town of Franklinton, Town of Youngsville, and Triangle Transit. The group meets on an as-needed basis to review development proposals that impact the study area, at the request of a Council member government. Recommendations from the Council are forwarded to the local government for consideration as a part of development review in the corridor.
