Leadership

Who benefits from mobility management?

Elderly populations: 12% of residents that live in the CAMPO region are seniors (65 years and older). Reliable transportation is crucial for seniors to age in place as it gives individuals access to senior centers, grocery stores, medical appointments, and religious services that may not be accessible otherwise.

People with disabilities: People with disabilities make up 11% of the CAMPO region's population. This could limit driving capabilities, making it difficult to reach daily destinations and important appointments. To improve mobility for those with disabilities living in rural areas, it is essential to offer dependable and accessible alternative transportation services that connect them to the places they need and want to go.

Low-income populations: Approximately 15% of individuals from low-income households who rely on public transportation live in the CAMPO region.
